Indiana Youth Survey
Some of our high school students will be taking the Indiana Youth Tobacco Survey. The Indiana Youth Tobacco Survey measures cigarette, e-cigarette, cigar, pipe, smokeless tobacco, hookah, nicotine pouch, Delta THC, and cannabis use among Indiana’s youth in grades 9 – 12. The survey also measures the impact of media and advertising, enforcement of youth tobacco access laws, school curriculum, and exposure to secondhand smoke. All public schools have been invited to participate free of charge through funding provided by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction. Participation is voluntary, confidential, and anonymous. Schools receive district- level data of their students' collective responses. This powerful information allows us to better frame discussions and drive decision making around ways we can best support our students.
